Unique experiences under moonlit skies
Night Safaris during your stay for a Safari at Masai Mara are a must, a very unique experience under the moonlit skies. Since Mara Timbo Camp is located outside the conservancy area Night-Safaris are not restricted like at many other camps.
Some animals are nocturnal and cannot be sighted during the day making night safaris ideal. Hippos do come out of the river at night for grazing and because Mara Timbo Camp has two Hippo families as neighbours in front of the camp, so to find hippos is very much likely. Even Hyenas and jackals prefer to hunt during the night and sometimes the leopard, lion prides can be spotted on the drive. Your guide will tell you more about the “Small Five” and nocturnal sightings during your Safari in Kenya.
